Ki-rin
Totem of Honor
Background Cost: 6
Ki-rin serves a similar role in the East as Unicorn does in the West, but is a warrior as well as a healer. Though patient, diplomatic and wise, Ki-rin takes action when the time is right and does not charge into battle recklessly. He defends the just and punishes the unrighteous. He also heals heroes wounded in honorable battle and grants fortune to the righteous. While Ki-rin is held in the highest esteem by the Fu Chun, many other hengeyokai sentai take him as their totem.
Traits: Ki-rin adds 1 to the Charisma of each Sentai member. All Gifts and rites dealing with light, healing or purification gain a difficulty modifier of -1. Finally, sentai of Ki-rin gain an additional four Willpower points to draw upon each story (which takes the form of good luck).
Ban: Sentai of Ki-rin must protect the good at heart if they are unfairly endangered. Though this sounds simple, it can put a sentai in undesirable situations: for example, defending a noble Kuei-jin against other hengeyokai.
Traits
All Fu Chun start with Rage 4, Willpower 4; they retain the notorious Rage of their ancestral breeds, but blend it with discipline and determination. Their Gnosis depends on breed. They must have a Pure Breed of at least one dot, reflecting their pure lineage and regal bearings, though can only purchase Pure Breed up to four dots. (So all Children of Ki-rin have a Pure Breed of 1-4.) Characters of both castes may buy Ancestors, but only can purchase it up to 3 dots; their ancestral ties are important to them, but are recently established by hengeyokai standards and don't run deeply. As with all Shifters with ties to Luna, Fu Chun suffer unsoakable aggravated damage from silver and lose Gnosis from carrying it.
Fu Gou must follow an Emerald Court auspice; they have turned away from the traditional moon signs of the Garou. Similarly, the tribe's Simba do not attend their Pryoi. Fu Gou often become Mirrors because of their natural affinity with the spirit world, and are fond of the Leaf and Lantern auspice as well. The Lions of Ki-rin may take the Den-Realm background; these are almost all established in hengeyokai-controlled dragon nests, and only three such nests exist. The roles of Fist, Lantern and Pillar suit Fu Shi-zi particularly well.

Breeds
The vast majority of Fu Chun are homids; less than 20% of their population are lupus or feline. There are currently no known metis Fu Chun, though the handful that are known to have existed in the past were treated respectfully enough.
All Fu Chun start with Gnosis according to their breeds: homids have 1 Gnosis, while lupus and felines start with 5. A metis of either Shifting Breed, should one come about, starts 3 Gnosis 3. Note that Fu Shi-zi are unable to traverse the Gauntlet without the Gift: Part the Wall, or without help from Fu Gou or other hengeyokai that can Step Sideways.

Forms, Fu Gou
Though powerful, Fu Gou aren't quite as athletic as other werewolves. They have too long bred with Fu Hounds instead of wolves, and so have sacrificed some of the wolf's raw speed. But Fu Gou are still werewolves and are impressive warriors when riled.
Homid: With few exceptions, Homid-form Fu Gou are attractive and charismatic. They're as muscular as Homid-form Fu Shi-zi but not as tall on average, usually having compact and dense builds.
Glabro: A Fu Gou gains about four to five inches in height, with a proportional increase in muscle mass. All the character's hair lightens in color, while her eye color match the Lupus form's; the ears become pointed and jaws slightly more pronounced. Her voice becomes deeper, but is still perfectly understandable.
Crinos: The Crinos form of the Fu Gou averages about seven feet and some inches in height, with more than six hundred pounds of muscle; while not as tall or dexterous as other Garou in Crinos form, it's as strong and weighs as much. The build is thick rather than slender, giving the Fu Gou an almost ursine appearance. Fur is thick and golden blonde or white, with thicker fur about the shoulders and head (resembling the mane of their Fu Shi-zi tribemates somewhat). The Fu Gou can speak understandably (though threateningly) with effort. The Crinos form invokes the full Delirium.
Hispo: A Crinos-sized version of the Lupus form, with massive jaws and a barrel-shaped upper torso. A mane-like thickness of fur decorates the shoulders, neck and back. Add one die to bite damage.
Lupus: The Lupus form of a Fu Gou resembles a wolf-chow hybrid, owing to her Fu Hound heritage. The body is compact, with thick limbs; the large head has intelligent gold, blue or green eyes. The dense fur is white, light golden or tawny fur, and is thicker and longer on the neck and shoulders. The form is sufficiently dog-like to not scream "wolf!", though is still big and feral enough to scare people.

Forms, Fu Shi-zi
Fu Shi-zi maintain the regal strength of their Simba predecessors. However, their health suffers from lack of feline breeding stock. Attempts have been made to mass-breed Asiatic lions for this use (similar to the Fu Hound breeding program of their lupine tribe mates), but these efforts have yielded little progress. As a result of too much human blood and using captive lions as breeders, Fu Shi-zi werelions aren't quite as hardy as their Simba kin. Only the foolish assume Fu Lions are weak, however.
Homid: The Asian werelion, like his African Simba counterpart, is typically tall and muscular, with strong features and luxuriant hair. The Lions of Ki-rin command attention by their very presence, even without the Rage that simmers just beneath their skin.
Sokto: A Fu Shi-zi gains as much as seven inches in height, while muscle and bone mass increase by 150% to 200%. A thick mane of hair sprouts, shot through with gold, often with a profuse amount of matching body hair; these are less pronounced in werelionesses. The eyes become large and leonine, set in a strong face. Jaws become prognathous, and sport sharp teeth with extended canines.
Crinos: The half-lion form of the Lion of Ki-rin is powerful and heavily-muscled, and stands from eight to nine feet tall. Fu Shi-zi have the lion form's blonde fur and mane; the mane is present in females but less luxurious. This form isn't quite as big as the Khan Crinos, though their regal bearing often belies this. The Crinos form invoke a lesser version of the Delirium; mortals act as if their Willpower were two higher. Like Crinos Fu Gou, the werelion in this form can speak human languages haltingly.
Chatro: A huge lion, up to a dozen feet long (including a yard or so of tail), with large forequarters and protruding, Smilodon-like canines. The head is large with wide jaws, causing the Fu Shi-zi to resemble the dragon-horses of Chinese myth. The Crinos form's mane adorns the werelion, and tapers from the shoulders down the middle of the back. Add a die to bite damage. The Chatro invokes the Delirium's full effects.
Feline: An impressive Asiatic lion specimen (which is about 15% smaller than an African member of the species), with eyes of gold, green or blue. It has tan, golden or platinum blonde fur. Males have healthy manes, a darker shade of the fur color, sometimes with reddish highlights; the mane is nonexistent for Fu Shi-zi lionesses.
